Calvin's 2nd Birthday!



Calvin turned 2 on October 19th.  We celebrated with donuts in the morning and planned a trip to the park for a dinner, but that didn't happen.  After opening up a new 5 pack of Hot Wheels, he didn't care about anything else.  He got lots of fun gifts from grandmas and grandpas that he's had fun with the last couple of weeks.  Happy Birthday Cal!

The weekend following Calvin's birthday, the Houston Pomeroys came to visit.  We celebrated again with a race-track cake.  Fun was had by all!



First Day of School

The first week of school turned out to be a little traumatic. Thanks to an awful rash courtesy of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease, Audrey missed most of her first week of school. She missed the Monday, the first day, made it for the second day and half of the third, but was home Thursday and Friday. It was kind of sad, but she's on a roll now and is loving school (was there any doubt?). Audrey has to leave for school at 7:20, so her alarm goes off at 6:40. She gets dressed, brushes her teeth and makes her bed on her own and comes downstairs at about 7 to eat, get her hair done and put on shoes. We haven't overslept yet or had a single fight. I've been absolutely amazed given all the pushing she needed to get ready for preschool last year (which started over an hour later).

Luckily, Sophie only had the sore throat and a very mild rash. She goes Tuesdays and Thursday, so she didn't have to miss any school. On Tuesday, she got to go and meet her teacher. Thursday was her first day. She loves her teacher and her class.

Notice Calvin in long sleeves, jeans and a hat in 100 degree weather. He was absolutely covered in the rash. We didn't want to scare anyone.
